Works by local painter Edna Hibel are the appeal at this museum, which is one of the few to pay tribute to a living female artist. The facility, which opened in 1977, maintains hundreds of Hibel's paintings, which are known throughout the world. Visitors may also view sculptures, porcelains, and lithographs. Hibel's art frequently encompasses wholesome subject matter, especially the mother-child relationship.
